Its been a while...

Hello, yes I am alive. Its been a while and to that I'd have to say 'life happened'. Wait, actually 'death happened'. A friend of mine was killed July 19th, forcing my mind into a disturbing state. I actually wrote an entry but never posted it. Even thinking about it now chokes me up. Through my eyes, life looks a bit different. Things aren't as important as they used to be. Hate crept its way into my heart, then found its way right back out, it didn't belong. Poisoned minds created havoc and killed a good friend, family. I don't take death well truthfully, so my heart still cries.

On other terms, school started last week. The best thing about this semester is my professors and the classes I am taking. Darkroom and Digital Photography is 1 out of 5, then there is; Electronic Media, Creative Writing, Interpersonal Comm, and Mass Comm and Society. I am looking forward to this semester. All I can think about is moving to that next level, I feel something good coming my way whether big or small. Imagining the possibilities.

I've got class in the morning, I should be sleep, but I couldn't resist updating. Maybe I'll get back into the swing of things and update on a daily. Until next time...

"Do You" x Datebook 10'

This past weekend I picked up "Do You" by Russell Simmons and a 2010 datebook (San Diego). Let's just say I am excited about this read and the year 2010, I've got a good feeling :) I've been recommended various books ("tipping point", "blink", "the secret", & so on) and haven't picked them up and for some reason my eyes landed on this book and decided to no longer procrastinate. I was in a serious need of a great read and datebook, it's time to "get it together!" ha ha ! organize my life and be on point from top to bottom. Also in efforts to get my memory up.

it's late . . .

hello everyone, excuse the delay. definitely wanted to come with a POW! however, i am tired and wish to continue the editing of the blog when i wake. thanks to ashley everything is coming together, couldn't have done it without her. if you run across the blog right now just know that the set-up is not finished, still under construction. i've got a long day ahead so i might as well get two or three hours of sleep. . .

As of right now, I am currently listening to "Church League Champions"; Pac Div (*located under mixtapes bottom right if interested in download; recommended) and cleaning up. Time is flying and as you can see I have not posted since monday, i've been busy. --Quick update (on me)

--My mind has been a roller-coaster lately, I've been doing a lot of thinking and sometimes maybe a little too much. Right now I am in the midst of working on an event coordinating project, which is one of the fields that I have an interest in. The specific portion of the project that I have does not require a whole lot but the brainstorming process is taking a bit of a tole on me being that my mind just wanders off when it feels like it (well at-least today that is) Rude ! ha-ha. I am starting to feel this mental battle come on and it is not alright. I seriously need to get away so I am thinking about hitting the beach tomorrow afternoon to start my fourth of July weekend. I really wanted to enjoy myself this weekend but for some reason since my city seems so lame no one is talking about anything that really sparks their interest, which leaves me to want to leave all of them behind. I've decided that if no one is talking about anything by tomorrow afternoon then I am roaming the city solo, might even hit the movies to see nothing other than "Public Enemies" (gotta love Johnny Depp). It's 1:20 a.m. and the truth is I haven't blogged in almost a week, but I think I am going to lay it down I've got business to handle in the a.m. GN everyone :)
*pray for the kid; strength, wisdom, and focus request ha-ha ! so serious !

it's thursday already?

Why am I not sleep? this computer is a distraction, I've been chatting away with a friend I have not spoken to in a while. It's good to know that people are doing well and doing the things that they love. I've had many ideas running through my head on what to blog about next. I want to bring that originality with also keeping up with what the streets is on. I won't talk to much about it; you'll see it in my actions soon.

If anyone has reading recommendations for me; please do (title of book & author please). I am starting to get tired of garbage television; haha ... I admit, i get sucked into these garbage shows. It's time to read something other than blogs (no offense), magazines, & what not.

Twitter is ridiculously addicting; i hit my 1800th update last night. SMH. aheeeem ! it's horrible. It's also funny that I am not the only one who has admitted this. It's funny when you add things like "twitter, facebook, myspace, aim" into your daily schedule, it really takes over. It's more like a social lounge more than anything. (my eyes are starting to hurt; staring at this screen).

The cb & rhi rhi situation is somewhat dying down; if you notice... if media doesn't say anything about it; people talk here and there but it's not as big as the first week and when the photo was released. Many people are over it, then again everyone wants to hear the facts... not that it's our business. I put it like this; whatever I hear i'm ok with, if i don't hear anything else, I'm not really trippin. I am not going to bash rhianna or chris; everyones human and they make mistakes... I have my own opinion on the situation (don't feel like fully going into it at this point). Everyones walking around feeling squeaky clean these days (only because their issues aren't on blast); haha. cut the crap. I will continue to pray for these young'ns & hope for nothing but the best. NEXT !

Alright so I have been slacking on the blogging a bit; not too much content lately. Haven't got the chance to actually sit down and write to you (my followers; & first time readers). Let's see; tomorrow ends the third week of school, and honestly I am already in need of a quick vacation (knowing I won't get one; so i might as well suck it up & take it like a man; ha-ha). If you were wondering (which you probably weren't; but I'm going to tell you anyway) I am a business major; business marketing as a matter of fact. However, there is no say in whether it will stay that way for long ( you'll at-least change your major two times; if you go into school not fully sure of what your career goal is; trust). So here I am taking; economics, accounting, business communication, and mathematics. I have a test in the morning (in which I should be studying for as of now; but hay it's ok to take a break right?).

I wanted to take the time out to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday/happy be-lated birthday, I appreciate all of the love. I am one year older and feeling great, I was just glad that I could live to see another day. No lie, I was smiling all day and nothing could bring me down. I actually wanted to do a video-blog to thank everyone, just to try something different but I've been so busy that I didn't have time to sit down and edit any of the videos I've done recently. I am currently working on a marketing/promotion project with the record label I work for; as well as a project with one of the creators of the hh101 arts and music festival. We shall see how these actually turn out. Don't want to speak too much on it; but of course I will be advertising on the right side under my events portion very soon.

It is now 11:11 p.m.; my eyes are getting heavy. I had a pretty long and exciting day and I need to finish studying (even though my axx might skim over the sheets and roll right over; to fall into a coma). I hung out with my girls today (it's been a while since we've all hung out); had a wonderful lunch at tgif (happy hour = 1/2 off all appetizers). It's funny when you get with your girls and you start acting up; it never fails. We were together from noon till about nine, had very interesting conversations; of course touching on any and every topic (sex was one; I know your not surprised). Then we hit the mall for a while, and ended up at two nail salons (at different times). I just see us all growing up together; in which we have been doing. I honestly believe that we will be in each other's weddings (awww! ha-ha). I have real good friends and family, I am very grateful and thankful for that.

The heater is on blast at this very moment (it was a beautiful day in California by the way); my house gets cold, or maybe its because I'm drinking this jamba juice (mango-a-go-go/no boost), then again I've been done for the past 20 minutes, so that means I'd have to change "I'm drinking" to "I had" or "I drank"... (difficult I know; ha-ha). Now I'm just going to start talking non-sense, so that is my cue.
