Pepsi Refresh Project April 3, 2010

What is the Pepsi Refresh Project?
Through its new Pepsi Refresh Project, Pepsi is helping move peoples’ ideas from wishful thinking to reality. In 2010, the Pepsi Refresh Project will award more than $20 million in grant money for people’s ideas that will refresh their world and lead to positive change. Grant recipients will be ranked by the public, who will vote online for the ideas they want to see taken from concept to reality. Pepsi will jump start projects that make a difference in six categories: Health, Arts & Culture, Food & Shelter, The Planet, Neighborhoods and Education. All submissions will be made through The Refresh Project website refresheverything.com.

What is the Idea Seminar?
In support of The Pepsi Refresh Project, Pepsi Idea Seminar is a program that helps to level “the playing field”, allowing those who may not be best equipped to submit a proposal to participate in the process. Pepsi will visit six cities (MIA, CHI, PITT, S.F., L.A., NYC) in an effort to generate awareness around the project and fuel submissions from the millennial target.

Pepsi is targeting individuals 16 yrs old and above to have an intensive day-long session where they are taken through the Pepsi Refresh Project submission process step by step. Tutors from Do Something, the largest non-profit teen charity, will train students from submitting online to post-submission crowd-sourcing efforts to acquire votes.

100 individuals in each city will gain access to each seminar.

Participants will also be treated to lectures from MTV’s Fonzworth Bentley, Best-selling author and star of C.S.I NY Hill Harper, and a special performance.

What do we need from you?
We want to select a group of your members who are best suited to generate an idea, attend the seminar and perform the due diligence to complete the submission process.

We request that all participants solicited/chosen be 16yrs and older and that they be preregistered for attendance. To preregister please send full names and contact information to LosangelesPRP@teamepiphany.com The deadline for RSVP is Wednesday March 31st 2010.

What do we need from the participants?

Before attending the seminar each individual must:

Think of an idea that they want to see come to fruition

Take a look at refresheverything.com to see what types of ideas are being presented as well as general guidelines for what types of ideas can or cannot be submitted.
