Along with the recent mixtapes being released by; Diz Gibran, Dom Kennedy, Big Sean, Pacific Division, Wiz Khalifa, Currency, Kid Cudi, Charles Hamilton, Skotch Davis, Wale, and several new artist on the rise, I've also been revisiting old tracks from artists such as; Nas, Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Common, Peter Gunz/Lord Tariq, Outkast, Wu-Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, LL, and much more. I guess you can call it trying to keep a balance. I love music very dearly and I have been impressed with what I have been hearing lately, however there will always be music that is distasteful (according to my ear and the ear of others).
Thursday I attended a show to support my fam; Makeshift, Piff, and O-phrap. Good music all night, although during one performance (I won't state who) I wanted to walk on stage and slap the mic's out of their hands but instead i sat in my car for a while. What can I say, sometimes your ears get disrespected and you have to take action. LMFAO !
Friday, the A07 ENT fam and I went to The Future Street Cool Tour ft. Dom Kennedy, Carter, and Skotch Davis. Real dope show, nice vibe, and all out fun with the familia. The Dj's were crazzzy (Mr. Mention and Mark Marcelo), they had the entire crowd going bananas off the hip hop. I had a blast. You can check out the pics here. But Back to this subject called MUSIC; what are you feeling at the moment? what artist(s) do you feel are being slept on? Any suggestion of who i SHOULD be listening to? and last but not least, what songs/albums have to taken the time to revisit?
