_I checked my email a few weeks ago to receive this email from Toib, Co-owner of Da Bottom Clothing. I found myself smiling from ear to ear because of the love that I was shown for my blog. The energy of the email had me feeling GREAT ! (lol); I mean, I was feeling down. It's funny how something so small could brighten up your day (for me at least). Check it out people; If you are wondering; What is Da Bottom Clothing Line? Who are the founders? Where did the name come from? I got you ! Sit back, relax, and remove your shoes. ! Take the time out to actually READ the entire post! thank you :) lol
The name Da Bottom not only comes from the region the company was started in, it also serves as a symbol of our starting point. Our clothing is designed by the same audience they represent so with each design we create a direct relationship between ourselves and those rockin' our apparel. The Da Bottom emphasis is on creativity, and our goal is to offer a assortment of products that will distinctively set you apart from the crowd.
Da Bottom clothing; innovative, creative, and simply new. These clothes not only represent a collection of designs, they illustrate our lifestyle.
Courtney "Six" Taylor
co-owner // designer
I've always had a passion for art, whether it be music, graffiti, comic books, sculpture, architecture, everything! I can't say that I've always loved fashion as a whole but I know I love to stay fresh. Inspired by a friend of mine named Mike, founder of Brooklyn Sky, I decided should combine my love for art and "everything fresh". With the goal of bringing our southern swag to the streetwear community, I got with my partner Toib "T" Olarinde and decided to make it happen.
co-owner // brand manager
When Six approached me about starting a clothing line I was all for it. We had no clue what we were getting into but jumped in head first. We then sat down and decided exactly what we wanted the brand to illustrate. Since we were kids, Six and I have never gone a day without talking about music so it was mandatory that we expressed that through the brand. I've been Jordan collector all my life so my first thought was to incorporate my interest in J's. We're both sneaker lovers so that concept came naturally. We didn't want to be just another brand about sneakers and hip-hop... but that's what we love.
Da Bottom is unique because of where we were raised. Living in South Florida your exposed to so many cultures it unbelievable. We're blessed to not only be influenced by our own upbringing but also the influences of so many other cultures. So while we share the same interest as other brands, we don't share the same perception or concepts. We aim to bring a different take on streetwear as a whole and bring our southern voice to the culture.

_Don't sleep; This is just the beginning.
I just want to Thank you (Toib & Courthey) for allowing me feature Da Bottom Clothing on my blog; I have so much love and respect for you. Continue doing what you do, I wish you the best ! God Bless :)
