New Artists; Electrick Red

I'm over here trying to find some new GOOD music to listen too, possibly add to my itunes collection, and hook you guys (my readers) up with some new shxt. I cam across ELECTRIK RED, a four member girl group on a blog I check every other day for new updates on music. My first impression was wow, they really came out with a song called "We fxck you"... I was certainly thrown off. From the beginning of the track I felt a KELIS type vibe, listening to the track I knew that this is a song produced by The Dream (from his trademark "ayee's:)... ha ; Off top I'd say ok this song is a no go, but I will guarantee that I'll probably be singing this out of the blue somewhere; wrong place wrong time. I then decided to do further research and check out their myspace profile and see what these ladies are really about. There are four girls (as I have already mentioned) Naomi, Leslie, Binkie, and Sarah. Two girls from Toronto, Canada & the others from Harlem and Brooklyn New York. These ladies are Def Jam recording artist, where you can find Nas, Ghostface Killa, Method Man, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, and much more. I decided, I'm going to give these ladies a chance and take a listen to a few other songs of theirs. They have a single that is currently making its way to local radio stations all over called "Drink In My Cup". You'll have to be the judge of whether you like it or not. Me on the other hand, I'm going to take a few days to listen and what I really think (lmfao). I can say they have some pretty nice tracks...

When writing this blog, my mind could not help but wonder "How long are these chicks going to last?" The only girl group that comes to mind at this very moment is The Pussy Cat Dolls, or past groups that are no longer "in the game". Hmmmm... they better come on the scene strong, that's all I have to say... people are harsh these days...
